DRAWING

This is my Pencil Case from Jackson's Arts Supplies. It holds up 120 pencils (2 in each elastic loop) but it has filled up scarily quick :O I didn't realise I had so many pencils. Nice robust, ergonomic handle too. Keep the foamy insert it comes with inside to protect the pencil tips and this will travel really well!

From top left:
Derwent Graphitint, Derwent Tinted Charcoal, Faber Castell Art Grip Aquarelle, Conte pencils, tortillions, Derwent Graphic soft, Derwent Inktense, Staedtler Karat watercolour pencils, Sakura Micron Pigma 01, Letraset Fineliner 0.5, Sakura Glaze 3D pen.

Gesso - what it is and how to use it by Aisling is a superb low-down on what gesso is and how to use it in art journals!

PAPERS
I currently use Crawford and Black Watercolour Pad, 230gsm weight watercolour paper, which you can get for a steal in The Works (it's unclear whether it's hot press or not but it is rather rough). As I am hardly a professional and do a lot of mixed media, this is an excellent paper choice for me for a variety of projects.
